Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle is a full-service orthopedic practice located in the Ballard and Wallingford neighborhoods of Seattle.
OSS specializes in the treatment of injuries to the hip, knee shoulder, hand and wrist, foot and ankle. We also provide arthroscopic procedures, joint replacement, and fracture care. Patients have access to some of the latest advances in orthopedic care, including joint replacement procedures that help speed patient recovery.
Formerly Ballard Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic, we became Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle in 2007. OSS opened our second location at Seattle Orthopedic Center in 2005. Our practice is fully equipped with MRI, a fully accredited ambulatory surgery center, and physical therapy.
OSS consists of five board-certified orthopedic surgeons, Phil Downer, M.D. , Jon Franklin, M.D. , Joel Shapiro, M.D. , Michael Watt, M.D. , and Wayne Weil, M.D. We also have four dedicated physician assistants on staff.
